Senior devs from practice
Our tutors build software for a living. They explain what matters in production code, not what the textbook says.
Study IT teaches programming in a 1:1 format. Your employees work with experienced developers on real tasks from their day-to-day work. You receive one collective invoice, your team books the sessions themselves.
Four situations companies come to us with. If yours is not on the list, ask anyway: the first call settles honestly whether the format fits.
Your apprentices get 1:1 support alongside trade school and the company: final exam parts 1 and 2, project work, and the topics nobody has time for in the daily business. Our tutors went through the IHK exam themselves.
New juniors and working students become productive faster when someone answers their questions without pulling a senior out of the sprint. The work happens on your team's stack and your team's tasks.
Your team is moving to Python, C# or a new codebase. Instead of a group workshop with one pace for everyone, each person learns 1:1 on their own tasks, at their own pace.
You hired someone with potential but without a computer-science background. We support the first months with fundamentals that follow the real tasks instead of the textbook.
Course videos teach concepts. Your developers need answers to the code that is sitting in the repository right now.
Our tutors build software for a living. They explain what matters in production code, not what the textbook says.
Your employees bring their own tickets, codebases, or learning goals. Every session works on what the project actually needs.
Sessions individually or as an hour package, evenings and weekends included. Free cancellation up to 12 h ahead.
One collective invoice per month or per package, with a cost center on request. No single receipts, no extra portal.
All tutors develop software as their day job. You see who fits your topic before the first session.
I am Marcel Schmidtpeter, founder of Study IT and a senior full-stack developer myself. I answer company inquiries personally, usually within one working day.
In the first call we settle honestly whether 1:1 sessions are the right format for your team. If they are not, we tell you just as directly.

Sessions run in our own browser classroom. At the end of every session a written summary is produced: you see what was worked on without sitting in the session.
No Zoom, no download, no third-party account. Your employees click a link, share their code and get going.
After every session there is a written summary: topics covered, problems solved, next steps. That is your evidence the training actually happens.
The session itself stays between tutor and employee. The summary is shared with the employee's consent, and recordings only happen with the explicit consent of everyone involved.
You start small and only extend if the format holds up. No licences, no subscription, no minimum term.
One or a few sessions for the people with the biggest need. You see right away whether the format works.
5-hour or 10-hour packages per employee, flexibly bookable with the matching tutor. Valid for 12 months.
One invoice per § 14 UStG per month or per package, with a cost center or PO number on request. Payment by bank transfer.
Hour packages lower the hourly rate; volume terms for larger contingents are agreed individually.
| Criterion | 1:1 sessions (Study IT) | Course licences (Udemy etc.) | Group workshop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Works on your own code | Yes, every session | No, generic examples | Rarely, mostly exercise projects |
| Pace | Individual per person | Self-paced, but alone | One pace for everyone |
| Sticking with it | A fixed appointment with a person who is waiting | Depends on self-discipline | One date, then it is over |
| Cost | From 59.99 € per hour and person | Low per licence | High per date, split across the team |
| Strongest for | Individual gaps with project context | An overview of a new topic | A shared kick-off as a team |
If a video course is enough, we say so. Some topics are cheaper for your team with a course licence; we sort that out honestly in the first call, before you book anything.
Employee training is generally a business expense. Your tax advisor settles the details.
Everything in one place, so approval does not stall on follow-up questions.
The classroom and the booking data run GDPR-compliant, with servers located in Germany.
We provide a data processing agreement (AVV) per Art. 28 GDPR on request.
Sessions are not recorded unless everyone involved explicitly consents.
The classroom runs in the browser. Your employees need no Zoom, Teams or Google account.
Invoices per § 14 UStG, with a cost center or PO number on request, collected per month or per package.
You describe the team, the topics, and the rough volume. We suggest matching tutors and a format.
Begin with individual sessions or an hour package. Your team books appointments directly in the calendar.
You receive one collective invoice. If the format works, we extend the contingent; if not, it simply ends without a notice period.
A few key facts are enough. You will hear back within one working day, from the founder, with a concrete proposal for tutors and format.
