I built Study IT because I have seen first-hand how computer-science teaching at university falls apart.

How we got here.
- 2018
Computer science at TU Kaiserslautern
Marcel begins computer science. Tutors first-year students on the side. Notices that many do not fail at the material itself, they fail because nobody walks them through it once.
- 2020
First backend role
Junior Java developer, later tech lead. Continues tutoring on the side. Mostly former classmates who got stuck partway through their studies.
- 2024
The idea
"It cannot really be true that nothing decent exists for this." First concepts for Study IT: a platform where students learn 1:1 with professionals from industry.
- 2026
Launch
We launch with a hand-picked team. Tutors from real dev teams, focused on Java, Python, OOP. Free first chat for an informal introduction.
